Thanks for your interest in joining our team! Brooklyn House of Movement (BHOM) is a boutique fitness studio dedicated to empowering our clients through mindful movement and exceptional instruction. We foster a welcoming community for individuals of all fitness levels, ensuring every class is inspiring, challenging, and rewarding. Through our diverse offering of modalities - from Pilates to Yoga, Sculpt, and more - we aim to build a vibrant community through innovative classes and inclusive connection.
We are seeking passionate, creative, and experienced instructors across various fitness modalities to join our team. Whether your expertise lies in Pilates, yoga, barre, sculpt, or other movement practices, we welcome instructors who can deliver innovative and high-quality experiences that align with our mission of exceptional and unique movement.
Certifications and Requirements:
Certification and/or formal training in your respective fitness modality (e.g., Pilates, Yoga, Barre, Personal Training, etc)
Pilates - minimum of Mat and Reformer Certification; comprehensive including Tower and/or Cadillac preferred
Pre/Postnatal experience, or willingness to obtain certification
At least 1 year of teaching experience with a proven ability to lead group classes with 6 or more clients, and private/semi-private sessions.
Current CPR certificate or willingness to obtain
Current personal liability insurance or willingness to obtain
Availability for a minimum of 10 teaching hours per week
Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage and connect with diverse clients.
A passion for creativity in fitness and the ability to bring fresh, unique approaches to your classes.
Responsibilities:
Lead engaging and well-rounded classes in your area(s) of expertise, tailored to a variety of skill levels and goals.
Provide personalized guidance, modifications, and encouragement to ensure a safe and inclusive experience for all clients.
Contribute to a supportive, uplifting environment that fosters connection and inspires client retention.
Maintain studio cleanliness and assist with equipment setup and breakdown as needed.
Uphold BHOM’s values and act as a positive ambassador for our space.
